Sir Douglas William Gretton Wass GCB (born 15 April 1923) is a retired British civil servant. In 1985, he was awarded an Honorary Degree (Doctor of Letters) by the University of Bath. ==The Reith Lectures== In 1983 the BBC invited Sir Douglas to present the annual Reith Lectures.
